Welcome to the Georgia Chapter of the American String Teachers Association Summer Camp Website!
Sorry for the limited pictures so far. The fiddlers are a bit more camera shy than the younger ones. What we've got is up now though so enjoy checking out what we've been up to.
May 29-June 1: Intermediate Elementary Camp: This is the perfect first or second camp experience for students who have a little experience but aren't quite ready for the rigors of the middle school camp. Intermediate/Advanced students who have just completed 4th or 5th grade with 2+ years of experience as well as beginning 6th grade students (1+ year of experience) will find this camp the perfect balance of challenges and fun! June 2-5: Middle School Camp: This is the best camp around for intermediate to advanced 6th through 8th grade orchestra students with 2+ years of experience who want to hone their skills and have fun at the same time! June 6-8: Beginning Elementary Camp: This is the perfect first camp experience for students who have been playing only a very short time. Students who have just completed 4th and 5th grade with 1 to 2 years of playing experience will flourish in this fantastic camp environment. June 9-12: Fiddle/Alternative Styles Camp In addition to the three sessions of orchestra camp we also offer an alternative styles Fiddle Camp. We are thrilled to have Crystal Plohman this year as our lead teacher! The Fiddle Camp is designed for string playing (violin, viola, cello and bass) advanced 8th graders (4+ years of experience) through 12th graders and their teachers. Anyone interested in expanding their knowledge and experience in fiddling and other alternative styles of performance such as jazz, blues, rock, and swing would have a great time and learn a lot at this camp! |
